Featured Artist
It seems I have been chosen to be the "featured artist" at Noisehead.com for today sun 20th. An honour I am grateful for and for which I will encourage ampers to visit the site and check out what they have to offer. One of the nice touches is that registered members can 'rate' their favourite songs, keeping them at the top of the listings and therefore more likely to get downloads. I have had a couple of songs in the top 20 on the country list for some time now - doesnt mean I get lots of people coughing up the 69cents but it is none the less gratifying for all that. However, it is a site well worth a visit and I am happy to recommend it to you all. Slainte. Alan

I Call it RockinRoll
A live take - my brother Phil on keys. I was showing this new(at the time) song to Phil and someone had the good sense to kick her into record! This was the result. What it lacks in production values is more than compensates for in feel. . . . .comments welcome..........
I get up for work each day
Do my time, collect my pay
It's the price you pay
I come home late
Tiptoe in
I get the rounds of where you been
I take my medicine
Deep down I got something
Deep down in my very soul
I call it rockin roll
In my heart
Where you should be
All I got is this melody
Drivin' me
I am out
In some old bar
Singin' songs and playin' guitar
Deep down I got this feeling
Deep down in my very soul
I call it rockin roll

Walking the Streets
My most recent effort and my last upload for the foreseeable.
Walking the Streets
It was midnight
Somebody’s dog was howlin’
At the full moon
Over the stadium
In the moonlight
Only cops and cabs were prowlin’
The empty streets
I was walkin’ home
Crazy thoughts were runnin’ round my head
Life and Love and where to go from here
In my minds-eye – you lyin’ on the bed
I’m out here walkin’, out here walkin’
Out walkin’ the streets
In the daylight
The streets they are a sea of faces
All the people rushin’ round
In the moonlight
Even familiar places
Turn into a wonderland
And the crazy thoughts keep runnin’ round my head
Love and Lust and where we go from here
In my minds-eye you still lyin’ on the bed
And I’m out here walkin’ – still out walkin’
I’m walkin’ the streets
In the short term
There is no easy answer
That’s the price you have to pay
In the long run
It sneaks up like a cancer
Then it slowly wastes away

A Woman Like You
Just a little country song!
A Woman Like You
A woman like you makes it hard for a man like me
I try my best but it’s not like it used to be
Both of us knew at the start
One of us would end up with a broken heart
A woman like you makes it hard for a man like me
Time brings changes won’t do you no good to fight
Works out the same anyhow, try as you might
When I made you cry
I just wanted to lie down and die
A woman like you makes it hard for a man like me
